Are You the Ultimate Game of Thrones Fan?

If you’ve fallen under the spell of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” you’re not alone. Set to air it’s fourth season this April, the series follows the books written by George R.R. Martin about the ruthless fight for ultimate power and rule of the 7 kingdoms. Diehard fans have learned the spoken tongues, gotten replica tattoos, and even added characters to their cosplay closets to show their loyalty to this one-of-a-kind cinematic event which is quickly becoming a subculture.

If you’re looking to immerse yourself into Game of Thrones aside from reading the books or watching the series, consider visiting the Game of Thrones Exhibition currently traveling around the world or visiting some of the filming locations. Most of these events will take place outside of the US, so for something closer to home, try researching comic convention guest lists or hosting a local season premiere or finale party (in costume, of course).

The 7 kingdoms in the series also have their own hierarchy, flags, fashion, and languages. To give you a taste of how elaborate this can be, try picking a favorite language, such as Dothraki, and learning a few words to impress those Daenerys fans. There is a vast array of online resources to aid in this venture, so be prepared to be a bit overwhelmed at first, but the feeling of picking up on a few words here and there in the next season will make you feel like you’re a part of the action!
